- To assist in the organization and provision of clinical care and patient management.- To participate in in-service medical training.- The ER physicianis expected to take a history and perform a physical examination on all the patients presenting to ER with an aim to quickly triage patient into emergent, urgent, routine cases, so as to prioritize and facilitate the patient management- Should seek advice of senior colleague in emergent/urgent cases.- The ER physicianis expected to provide initial assessment and management of all the patient. This includes writing clinical data, appropriate orders, organizing and following up on investigations, writing fluid orders, starting IV’s and drawing blood as necessary. - ER Physicians are responsible for Record Keeping and all entries in the record should be dated and timed as well as signed. Entries should be made clear and legible. - All ER Physicians must attend all regular clinical teaching session and ER Physicians may be called on to present patients, comment on X-rays or review papers. - Participation in safe, effective and compassionate patient care;- All ER physicians must attend all regular clinical teaching session and ER Physicians may be called on to present patients, comment on X-rays or review papers. - All ER physicians must attend all regular clinical teaching session and ER Physicians may be called on to present patients, comment on X-rays.- Participation in safe, effective and compassionate patient care;- Developing an understanding of ethical, socioeconomic and medical/legal issues that affect graduate medical education and of how to apply cost containment measures in the provision of patient care;- Work schedule include regular working shift and on call duties as per need of hospital;- Participation in the educational activities of the training program and, as appropriate, assumption of responsibility for teaching and supervising other ER PHYSICIANs and, and participation in institutional orientation and education programs and other activities involving the clinical staff;- Participation in institutional committees, meetings and councils to which the ER Physician is appointed or invited; and performance of these duties in accordance with the established practices, procedures and policies of the institution, and those of its programs, clinical departments and other institutions to which the ER physicianis assigned; including, among others, state licensure requirements for physicians in training, where these exist.- Carries out the clinical and other duties allocated to him/her by the in charge.- Responsible for the basic medical care within the department.- Evaluates patients under his care, formulating plans of investigation and treatment. And documents daily progress of his patients, and their new investigation results.- Takes on call duty according to Rota.- Writes death summaries.- Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge.- Acts as a patient safety advocate.- Adheres with the Infection Control Guidelines of the Hospital.
